1. If you wish to continue distributing your releases, we strongly recommend exploring alternative music distribution options as soon as possible. While MusicMyBand will no longer be in business, there are several reputable music distributors available that can support your distribution needs.
2, Please note that DSPs have a delay in paying out royalties. After June 30, some users may still have unpaid royalties to receive. We want to assure you that during the 90-day period following June 30, you will still be able to access the platform to view your sales data and claim any outstanding royalties. However, please be aware that after this 90-day period, the service will be terminated, and all end-user accounts will be closed. Furthermore, we want to assure you that any remaining royalties that are due to you (if any) will be disbursed and made available to your PayPal account.
Until the end of June, your music will continue to be available on the current platform. We encourage you to take this time to explore alternative distribution options and ensure the uninterrupted availability of your music on DSPs.
We’re also negotiating with some partners the possibility of transferring your catalog automatically to another platform (TBD). We will email you about this alternative option if we confirm it with other distributors. In this case, you will have a chance to decide whether you’d like the automatic migration to another platform that might be available to you. Otherwise, you should find another music distributor to re-distribute your catalog as soon as possible.
If you need assistance to initiate a takedown of your catalog from MusicMyBand, here are the steps:
1, Login to your MusicMyBand account.
2, Click on either "Catalog" or the "Albums" tab to view all of your releases with us.
3, Click on the title of each release to open its corresponding page. (Note: If you have multiple releases, you must do the same thing on each release).
4, Click on the "Distribution" tab (6), which will take you to another page where you can request the takedown.
5. On the Distribution page of the release, you will see four new tabs (see image below) above the release name. Click on the "Takedown from all channels" tab (in red), and follow any additional prompts (if applicable) to complete the request. A successful message should pop up as soon as you have successfully initiated the takedown.
Note: After clicking on "Takedown from all channels," you may need to finalize your request in the cart at checkout (It’s free, so you won’t be charged). If the page does not take you automatically to checkout after that, you may use this following link, but you must be logged in for the link to work: https://distribution.musicmyband.com/orders/current. You may need to confirm that you agree with the terms, choose a payment method (Since this is free, sometimes you may be able to skip the "payment method option," but if it doesn’t allow you to continue, just choose any option there and you won’t be charged) and complete the order. To make sure you did it correctly, just go to the tab 5 (History) after you have submitted your release(s) for takedown, under the "type," it will show takedown instead of delivery (you may need to refresh the page). Please note that takedowns may not happen immediately and can vary by channel. It may take some time for channels to receive the request and take effect.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this situation. We greatly appreciate your support and understanding as we wind down MusicMyBand's operations. It has been a privilege to be part of your musical journey, and we wish you continued success in all your future endeavors.
